We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Casual House Attendants to join our Front of House team at The Hexagon.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two shifts are the same.
One day you could be welcoming audiences to a sold-out show, the next supporting visiting performers backstage or helping prepare the venue for a major event.

About The Role
The Hexagon Theatre hosts busy events that attract a diverse range of audience members who enjoy excellent customer service – all delivered by a team of dedicated and enthusiastic individuals.
As a Casual House Attendant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers enjoy a safe, welcoming and memorable experience.
You’ll be the face of The Hexagon, providing exceptional customer service while supporting the smooth operation of the venue.

As a member of the House Attendant Team, you will
- Welcoming customers and assisting with enquiries.
- Directing visitors to their seats and supporting access requirements.
- Selling programmes, merchandise and refreshments.
- Scanning tickets and assisting with audience admissions.
- Supporting visiting theatre companies, performers and touring productions.
- Assisting with venue set-up, seating changes and event preparation.
- Monitoring audience safety and reporting any concerns.
- Helping manage queues, crowd flow and customer behaviour.
- Carrying out basic maintenance tasks and reporting any faults or hazards
- Assisting with deliveries, stock handling, and general venue operations
- What We’re Looking For
- Have excellent customer service skills.

- Remain calm and professional in busy environments.
- Are confident communicating with a wide range of people.
- Can work as part of a team and use their initiative.

This role offers flexible casual hours and is ideal for those looking to gain experience in hospitality, events and customer service.
Shifts are available across evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays and event days.
About You
A rota system offers shifts when there are events, and you must tell us in advance of any shifts you would not be available for.
Most shifts will commence at around 4.00pm and last approximately 5-6 hours.
On weekends there can be matinee performances that start earlier. Some weekend work is required but you will not be expected to work them all.
