Portsmouth City Council is seeking an Assistant Countryside Officer to support conservation management of Portsdown Hill SSSI and nearby sites.

You will perform practical countryside tasks, supervise contractors, and assist with community engagement and volunteer programmes.

You will deputise for the Countryside Officer when required, maintain health and safety standards, and work with the wider countryside team to coordinate site activities.

The role is part-time and fixed-term in Portsmouth.
