This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Library Advisor to join our Library and Resident Contact (Face to Face) team.
The Role
As part of the wider Library and Resident Services Team you will have a key role in delivering day to day library service at RBWM libraries.
Your Role Will Involve:
- Delivering excellent customer service to library customers
- Dealing with enquiries including council customer services and general community signposting and support services
- Working with partners
- Facilitating the use of library spaces by other organisations to deliver support services whilst generating income
- Assisting customers with digital support
What We Are Looking For:
- Well connected within the Windsor community, with an excellent understanding of local groups, organisations and events. Use your networks and local knowledge to shape engaging library activities and help attract new audiences into the library.
- A love of books and reading
- An understanding of the value of the public library service to communities and individuals
- Excellent digital skills and the ability to show people how to use a variety of digital devices
- Ability to work at any location in the Borough and to do physical work such as carrying boxes of books, pushing loaded book trolleys, and being on your feet walking between floors and across the library for extended periods of time
