- About The Single Persons Homeless Officer Role
This role supports clients in moving away from the streets into accommodation and preventing street homelessness.
Due to the nature of this role an enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
- Here’s What You’ll Get Up To
- You will provide comprehensive advice, information, and advocacy on all matters related to housing and supporting individuals to end their rough sleeping.
- You will work within a small team, building fast and strong working relationships with clients and external partners.
- You will complete a range of shifts including working late at night, early in the morning.
- You will maintain a caseload of clients, offering them assertive, consistent ongoing guidance & support until they are in a position to move from the street into accommodation and/or other appropriate support services.
- You will ensure that all options to prevent or relieve the homelessness of an applicant are explored and make decisions on homeless applications in accordance with the Housing Act 1996 Part VII and subsequent legislation where necessary.

- Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays
