Knowsley Council is looking to recruit an outstanding permanent Director to help drive the next phase of our ambitious transformation and make a lasting difference to the lives of our residents and businesses. The Director will join the Corporate Leadership Team and drive improvements in education and inclusion across the Borough.

Salary: £99,161 to £104,870 per annum (Pay Award Pending)

Location: Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, Hybrid Working, Free Parking

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time

Hours: 36 hours per week

This role carries responsibility for shaping high‑quality, person‑centred services, strong partnership working, and sustained improvement across complex systems. The post sits at the heart of the Council’s commitment to delivering the best outcomes for children, young people, families and communities, and to supporting the Department for Children, Schools and Education in their statutory role as deputy.
