Worcestershire County Cricket Club, one of the 18 major county cricket clubs that make up the England and Wales Cricket Board, seeks a new Non‑Executive Director to join its Board. The Club’s vision is to become Worcestershire’s premier destination for live sports, entertainment and hospitality, while providing great experiences for everyone who visits New Road. The Board is composed of the Chair, Chief Executive Officer, and a number of Non‑Executive Directors representing a broad range of professional expertise. Following a review of the Board’s current skills matrix, the Club is particularly interested in candidates with experience in Commercial, Marketing, or Property and Real Estate. Strengthening the Board in these areas is expected to bring valuable insight and support to both the Board and Executive team.
Responsibilities
- Attend Board meetings approximately eight times per year, each lasting about two hours.
- Participate in one full Board strategy day per year, typically in Spring.
- Provide ad‑hoc advice and support to the Board and Executive as relevant matters arise.
Qualifications
- Established leader with experience in Commercial, Marketing, or Property and Real Estate.
- Strong business insights and board‑level leadership experience.
- Interest in cricket or sport is beneficial but not essential.
