Location: Council Offices, Farnborough Road, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 7JU
Contract: Part Time, 22.5 hours per week (4.5 hours a day, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm, with occasional out‑of‑office work as required).
Responsibilities
- Regulate licensing regimes for alcohol, gambling, taxis, street trading, pavement licensing, scrap‑metal dealers, animal licensing, mobile homes/campsites, sex establishments and charitable collections through inspections, investigations and application processing.
- Deliver enforcement options, attend hearings and reviews, give evidence in court, and ensure licensing policies and objectives are achieved.
- Process licence applications and support applicants, interested parties and regulatory agencies in obtaining appropriate licensing outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of processes, procedures and policies to continually improve the service provided.

- Ability to work with technical legislation and stay current with relevant laws.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail.
- Flexible, pragmatic, team‑player attitude with the capacity to handle a varied workload.
