Executive Director, Markets – Financial Conduct Authority

Key Responsibilities

Serve as an Executive Committee member, leading the organisation in achieving the FCA’s strategy.
Regulate and engage with the leadership of financial services firms to ensure the FCA’s statutory objectives are met.
Develop and implement the FCA’s supervision strategy, competition agenda, policy, risk appetite and control framework, and lead delivery within the Supervision, Policy & Competition (SPC) division.

Key Qualifications

Extensive leadership and people‑management experience, able to inspire and motivate large teams through change.
In‑depth knowledge of markets and conduct risk, gained in the UK or a major financial centre.
Highly collaborative approach within a leadership team, driving organisational change.
Excellent stakeholder‑management skills, with proven ability to negotiate and influence senior private‑ and public‑sector stakeholders nationally and internationally.
