Executive Director, Markets – Financial Conduct Authority

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an Executive Committee member, leading the organisation in achieving the FCA’s strategy.
- Regulate and engage with the leadership of financial services firms to ensure the FCA’s statutory objectives are met.
- Develop and implement the FCA’s supervision strategy, competition agenda, policy, risk appetite and control framework, and lead delivery within the Supervision, Policy & Competition (SPC) division.
Key Qualifications
- Extensive leadership and people‑management experience, able to inspire and motivate large teams through change.
- In‑depth knowledge of markets and conduct risk, gained in the UK or a major financial centre.
- Highly collaborative approach within a leadership team, driving organisational change.
- Excellent stakeholder‑management skills, with proven ability to negotiate and influence senior private‑ and public‑sector stakeholders nationally and internationally.
