The Godolphin and Latymer School is one of the country's leading independent day schools for girls, located on a six-acre site in Hammersmith, London. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified, experienced and dynamic individual to join the school as Director of Digital Strategy and IT. The appointed candidate will be expected to define and deliver an effective IT strategy for Godolphin and Latymer School. The post-holder will lead a team of five and will be tasked with delivering high levels of service at the user interface and ensuring functional capability. They will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team on designing and implementing the School's IT/Digital Learning strategy with a view to supporting teaching, learning and administration.

This is a full-time position with some additional hours required to fulfil the needs of the role, including out of hours call-outs. The full-time post offers 28 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and two weeks at Christmas when the School is closed. All annual leave must be taken during the school holidays. The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience. The start date will be as soon as possible on the completion of all required pre-appointment checks.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All staff working in the School during the school day will have some contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity. In this role you are unlikely to be working with children directly but will regularly interact with pupils who may seek your assistance or otherwise interact with you when moving around the school.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
