Local Education is working with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in East London, currently seeking a passionate and energetic PE Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dedicated and collaborative department, committed to promoting a love for sport, fitness, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Encourage participation in physical activity and promote healthy lifestyles
- Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE PE (if applicable)
- Organise and support extracurricular clubs, competitions, and sports days
- Create a positive and respectful learning atmosphere for all students
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an exciting and varied PE curriculum
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting (or strong placement references)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A genuine passion for sport and education
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
