Local Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the Rayleigh area for a Student Support Supervisor to join the team from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play an important role in maintaining a safe, positive and well-organised school environment.
The Role
Working alongside the pastoral and senior leadership teams, your responsibilities will include:
✔ Supervising students around the school throughout the day.
✔ Monitoring corridors during lesson time.
✔ Checking student movement and toilet passes.
✔ Supporting behaviour expectations around the school site.
✔ Supervising break and lunchtime areas.
✔ Building positive relationships with students.
✔ Helping maintain a calm and safe learning environment.
This is a highly visible role within the school and would suit someone who is approachable, confident and enjoys working with young people.
We’re looking for someone who is
- Calm and confident.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to build positive relationships with students.
- Professional with excellent communication skills.
- Passionate about supporting young people.
Previous experience working in schools, youth work, customer service, coaching, security, the emergency services or similar environments would all be advantageous, although full support will be provided.
