Local Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school near Maldon for a passionate Music Teacher to join their team from September on a part-time basis (2 days per week).
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Music Teacher or an ECT looking for a flexible teaching role within a school that values creativity, enrichment and high-quality music education.
You'll be delivering engaging Music lessons, encouraging students to develop confidence, creativity and a lifelong appreciation of music.
The Role
- Part-time position β 2 days per week
- September 2026 start
- Near Maldon, Essex
- Teaching Music across Key Stages (experience across KS3/KS4 desirable)
- Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
- Working within a supportive and collaborative department
- Ongoing role with potential to continue beyond the initial placement
- We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Music within UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom management skills
- Passion for inspiring young people through music
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
