Local Education are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded secondary school in Grays seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Attendance Officer, Family Liaison Officer, Pastoral Officer, or School Administrator with experience in attendance to join a supportive school community. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving student attendance and punctuality by working closely with students, families, staff and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and tracking attendance data
- Managing attendance procedures and interventions
- Liaising with parents and carers regarding attendance concerns
- Producing attendance reports for senior leaders
- Supporting strategies to improve attendance across the school
- Working with external agencies where appropriate
Requirements
- Previous attendance experience within a school setting
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Confidence using school MIS systems
- Ability to work effectively with students, families and staff
