Local Education are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Teacher to deliver English Language and Literature to students across Key Stages 3 - 5. This is a permanent position to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching, excellent classroom management, and the ability to inspire students of varying abilities to achieve their potential. You will play a key role in maintaining high academic standards while creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality English lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, adapting materials to suit individual learning needs.
- Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practice.
- Contribute to the wider school community and participate in departmental planning and development.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 - 5).
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for English education.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Availability for an immediate start and interest in a temp-to-perm arrangement.
