This is a key role within the Management Information Team. The post-holder will frequently represent the team as a first point of contact for performance and business reporting requirements, working directly with the operational and corporate directorates to design, develop and provide regular and ad-hoc highly-complex, specialist analysis reports. This work will support operational & resource management, business planning and deliver external and internal reporting requirements validating the accuracy of outgoing information and communicating complex issues to the appropriate audiences for action.
The post holder will apply specialised data analysis and interpretation skills through using current and developing systems, to provide data for and on behalf of Local Care Direct ensuring that the information provided is relevant, accurate and appropriate and produced on time in an easily understandable format.
Playing a key role in the future development of the organisations business and performance reporting procedures and systems, the post holder will be expected to present highly-complex, specialist analysis to a variety of audiences including senior managers, whilst explaining all report findings and resolving any data issues.
Main duties of the job

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To produce timely, accurate andinformative performance reporting for internal and external purposes to meetinternal process and external contractual and statutory standards.
- To provide clear andconcise written and verbal reports on performance indicators to staffwithin the organisation, which will involve the interpretation of data andthe need to present complex and sometimes sensitive or contentiousinformation in a clear and understandable format.
- To be responsible for theproduction and development of regular reports using appropriate softwarepackages such as MS Excel, Azure, Python, Power BI and SQL to analyse andinterpret organisational performance.
- To interpret and analyseactivity and KPI performance data to produce complex reports, drawingattention to areas of concern and occasionally investigating these,recommending changes to work practices and policy, where necessary.
- To extract complex datafrom multiple organisation systems including SystmOne, Adastra and contactcentre telephony systems using complex querying methods and languages.
- To be responsible for thedevelopment and ongoing maintenance of performance dashboards which ensurethe right information is available at the right times at all levels of theorganisation.
- To format datasets to beuploaded into various data portals, in formats including XML and Access.
- Tosupport the implementation of new systems and liaise with software systemproviders in respect of performance reporting and data management includingdesign of filters and reports as and when necessary.
- ToProvide quality assurance advice to other departments which have responsibilityfor data production, analysis, and reporting.
- To support operationalmanagers and Clinicians in the decision-making process by ensuring thatthe information generated by the team is accurate, timely and fit forpurpose.
- To respond to ad-hocquestions and requests for reports, which may often have short deadlines,effectively, efficiently, and professional ensuring constant review ofpriorities and work allocations.
- To have day to day coachingresponsibilities for the Data Analyst and Information Officer and whenrequired supervisory or line management responsibility.
- To check and distribute reports produced by the Data Analyst and/or InformationOfficer that may require extra validation.
- To attend, as and whenrequired, Operational Business / Senior Management Team Meetings on behalfof the department.
- Ensure all processes used in theproduction, analysis, reporting and storage of data are documented, reviewed,and stored including appropriate change controls.
