An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join a highly regarded Main Contractor delivering complex and prestigious projects across London. The business has an established presence within the Commercial, Hotel and Refurbishment sectors and continues to secure high profile Cut & Carve schemes throughout Central London.

This role will play a key part in both pre-construction and project delivery, managing the design process from concept through to completion across technically challenging developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the design process through all project stages
  • Coordinate consultant teams, subcontractors and client stakeholders
  • Drive programme compliance and technical design solutions
  • Review and manage design information, RFIs and technical submissions
  • Support pre-construction, tender and procurement activities
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and building regulations
  • Work closely with operational and commercial teams throughout delivery
  • Attend client, consultant and subcontractor meetings
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager within a Main Contractor environment
  • Strong experience delivering Commercial, Hotel or Cut & Carve projects
  • Excellent technical understanding of refurbishment and structural alteration schemes
  • Experience across both pre-construction and live project delivery
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams within fast-paced project environments
