An established main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial construction projects is looking to appoint a Technical Services Manager to join its growing team in Central London.
Working across a range of prestigious projects, you will take ownership of all MEP coordination from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring building services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) services throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review design information to ensure technical compliance, buildability and coordination.
- Work closely with consultants, subcontractors and the site delivery team to resolve technical issues.
- Chair and attend design and coordination meetings.
- Monitor programme milestones relating to MEP installation and commissioning.
- Oversee commissioning activities and ensure successful project handover.
- Ensure all technical documentation, O&M manuals and commissioning records are completed accurately.
- Support procurement of specialist MEP subcontractors where required.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and compliance across all building services activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Technical Services Manager, Building Services Manager or MEP Manager with a main contractor is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Experience delivering commercial, mixed-use, residential or fit-out projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and manage technical challenges on site.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
