Land Buyer / Land Manager – Midlands


An established and highly regarded national housebuilder is seeking an ambitious Land Manager / Land Buyer to join their Midlands team. The Opportunity


This role offers the perfect blend of autonomy and collaboration. You’ll have the scope to identify, appraise, and secure new residential development opportunities while working closely with in-house planning, technical, and commercial teams to bring them to life.


Key Responsibilities



  • Proactively source and secure land opportunities across the Midlands

  • Negotiate purchase terms directly with landowners, agents, and promoters

  • Carry out financial appraisals, market assessments, and feasibility studies

  • Build and maintain a strong network within the property and planning sectors

  • Drive sites through the acquisition process from initial lead to exchange


About You



  • Proven experience in land acquisition (housebuilding, residential development, or similar)

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of current planning legislation

  • Able to work at pace, managing multiple opportunities simultaneously

  • Degree in Real Estate, Planning, or related field (desirable but not essential)
