We are currently seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary engineering team, working on technically complex projects across high-tech sectors. Role Overview:

The successful candidate will support senior engineers on the development and delivery of electrical design solutions for major construction projects. You’ll be exposed to a broad range of project phases from concept design through to construction and commissioning while benefitting from structured mentorship and on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of electrical design drawings, calculations, and supporting documentation
  • Support senior engineers in developing compliant and technically sound design solutions
  • Ensure all outputs meet relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with wider project and design teams across disciplines
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and surveys as required
  • Contribute technical input during construction and commissioning stages
  • Take part in training programmes and mentoring initiatives to develop technical competence
  • Maintain a proactive, learning-focused approach to professional development

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline (Consideration may be given to candidates without a degree but with relevant experience and a strong desire to pursue professional qualifications)
  • A genuine interest in electrical design within the construction or building services sector
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design/calculation software is desirable
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A self-motivated and detail-oriented approach to learning and development

Key stakeholders: Project teams, design leads, subcontractors, client representatives
