The Role

We are looking to appoint

1–2 experienced Site Managers to oversee high-quality healthcare fit-out and refurbishment projects based in Portsmouth and surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who is confident managing projects in live or sensitive healthcare environments and can take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of works on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of healthcare fit-out and refurbishment projects.
  • Take responsibility for site health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site operatives.
  • Plan and monitor works to ensure projects remain on programme.
  • Ensure all works are completed to the required quality standards.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and programmes.
  • Coordinate deliveries, materials, plant and site logistics.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, consultants and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure standards are maintained.
  • Manage RAMS, permits, inductions and site documentation.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
  • Identify and resolve site issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant building regulations, health and safety requirements and project specifications.
  • Support successful project handover and completion.

About You

We are looking for Site Managers with

  • Proven experience working as a

Site Manager within construction or fit-out .

  • Previous experience delivering healthcare, hospital, medical or complex fit-out projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management.
  • Excellent health and safety awareness.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving.
  • The confidence to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Good IT and site reporting skills.
  • Valid

CSCS and relevant Site Management qualifications.

SMSTS and

First Aid .

  • Full UK driving licence.
