The predicted salary is between 46202 - 52100 Β£ per year.
The Service Manager is the Registered Manager for their designated School Age Care services.
The role holds full accountability for the safe, compliant, and effective operation of those services including staffing, safeguarding, quality assurance, admissions, and day-to-day operational leadership.
The Service Manager operates supernumerary.
They are not expected to cover staff ratios.
They are expected to be present, visible, and actively engaged across their services in a purposeful way.
Care inspectors will ask the Registered Manager about individual children by name.
A named, documented senior lead is in place and briefed within each site to hold day-to-day responsibility when the manager is at another site.
Key
Responsibilities: - Operations Leadership - Admissions, Capacity and family Engagement -Holiday Club and ASN Provision - Lead on Quality Assurance and Inspection readiness - Building Management / Supporting other user groups. - People Management and Staff Development -Staffing and Rotas Safeguarding and Children's well-being: Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for designated service.
Hold responsibility for child protection decision-making; liaise directly with statutory agencies.
Maintain accurate, chronological records of all safeguarding concerns, actions, and outcomes.
Ensure care plans are in place for all children requiring them within 28 days; review every six months minimum.
Maintain oversight of medication administration, allergy lists, and dietary requirements.
Submit CARE INSPECTORATE eform notifications within required timescales.
Ensure children's voices shape service planning and provision.
This post is Monday to Friday, working pattern between 7am-6pm, timings can be discussed with management.
Experience running an out of school care service is preferred but not essential.
Qualified SQA level 3 or 4 is a must (HNC/HND).
Strong leadership qualities required.
