Join to apply for the Junior Copywriter role at Loaf (Loaf.com). At Loaf we make insanely comfy sofas, beds and homewares that help people lead more comfortable lives. Founded in 2008, Loaf has steadily grown each year to become one of the leading premium furniture and homeware brands in the UK. We now have 11 Shacks (stores to everyone else!), with more on the way. It’s an exciting time to join an ambitious business. At Loaf, we’re on a mission to make home the comfiest place in the world.
We’re looking for a talented, hard‑working Junior Copywriter who can help us spread the word. You should have a knack for writing that feels like good company (think warm, easy and full of character) and can spot the story in the small stuff. You’ll bring commercial awareness, strong instincts for tone and rhythm, and a dash of wit and charm to everything from product pages and subject lines to social ads and texts. While we’re big on helping our customers slow down, we need someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, creatively stimulating environment. You’ll juggle projects, adapt to feedback, meet tight deadlines, and learn on the go. You’ll need to care about the details and stay organized under pressure.
The Job
- Write warm, clear, customer‑first copy for a range of channels including product pages, emails, social, brochures, store signage and internal comms.
- Help maintain and apply the Loaf tone of voice consistently across every touchpoint.
- Collaborate with designers, marketing and the digital team to create content that feels joined‑up and natural.
- Write and refresh product copy, SEO content and web descriptions for loaf.com.
- Proofread and check copy across channels before it goes live.
- Help organise and maintain key copy documents and brand language guides.
- Support the Senior Copywriter on projects and ad‑hoc requests, turning around quality copy at pace when needed.
- Spot opportunities for simpler, warmer or more distinctive ways to communicate with customers.
We’re looking for:
- 2+ years of copywriting experience (agency or brand side).
- A portfolio showing range, from product descriptions and storytelling to short‑form, digital‑ready copy.
- Obsessed with interiors and how people actually live (and unwind) at home.
- Excellent attention to detail, grammar and tone.
- A genuine love of language and clear communication.
- A collaborative approach. Happy to take feedback and learn fast.
- A good sense of humour (non‑negotiable).
- The ability to work in a fast‑moving environment without losing accuracy.
- Skilled at turning detailed information into clear, engaging copy that customers understand.
- A good grasp of storytelling, brand positioning and how to interpret a brief.
- A creative, curious mindset and unafraid to try new ideas.
Some of Our Benefits
- 25 days holiday, increasing by 1 day each year for 3 years, plus 8 days for bank holidays.
- Enhanced family leave policy.
- Staff and friends and family discount scheme.
- Healthcare cash plan.
- EAP programme.
- Shopping discounts.
- Cycle to work scheme.
- Half a day for Christmas shopping.
- Life Assurance – 4 times annual salary.
