We’re seeking an enthusiastic SDR to join our team based just outside Portsmouth. The role spans Sales and Marketing functions and reports into the Head of Sales. Focus includes outbound prospecting, nurturing inbound leads, outbound phone calling, and research activities to support business development.
Responsibilities
- Generate sales opportunities and qualify client needs.
- Work as part of the sales team to achieve shared objectives.
- Connect with prospects through email, social media and business calls.
- Follow up with contacts and nurture inbound leads.
- Perform prospecting activities including pre‑call research and planning.
- Liaise closely with the Sales team to ensure a smooth handoff of leads.
- Ensure the achievement of agreed targets and KPIs.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of proven excellence in sales and/or business development, preferably in a technology‑based company.
- Confidence and gravitas to make outbound phone calls, ideally demonstrated with previous real‑world experience.
- Outgoing, confident, and tenacious with an engaging personality.
- Ability to think on the fly in a conversation, and ask/answer questions with ease.
- Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot or similar CRM/lead‑gen automation systems would be useful.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to present to senior executives.
- Ability to manage tasks and achieve target numbers for contacts and opportunities.
