As the Director of iGaming Communications at Light & Wonder, you will lead the strategic development and execution of all communications for our iGaming Business Unit. You will enhance brand presence, drive engagement, and ensure consistent messaging across all channels. In close collaboration with the VP of Communications & Corporate Affairs and the CEO of iGaming & Chief of Staff, you will create and execute internal and external communications and events for the iGaming organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and execution of internal and external communications—internal engagement, media relations, social media—and events (iGaming industry and team events).
- Develop a roadmap of Brand, Communications, and event activities in partnership with Product Marketing and Executive leadership.
- Work with the Corporate leads for PR, Social Media, and Internal Communications to maintain consistency of metrics, measurement, messaging, content, and tone.
- Craft overall strategy and tactics such as press releases, staying ahead of market trends and aligned with growth expectations.
- Ensure narrative consistency with the CEO of iGaming across the organization.
- Oversee strategic direction and roadmap of international communications cadence and activities for iGaming.
- Oversee creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
- Manage relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders to maximize positive coverage and brand visibility.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to a team of marketing and communications professionals.
- Collaborate with product development, sales, and customer support to ensure cohesive messaging and brand alignment.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Own and manage culture budget and activities for iGaming offices worldwide as part of internal engagement.
- Monitor and report on marketing campaign effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the brand and establish thought leadership.
- Work in the Light & Wonder office in Chiswick at least 3 days per week to maximize cross‑team collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in communications and brand marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the gaming or related industry.
- Strong understanding of the gaming market, including trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and presentations.
- Proven ability to manage and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Experience with digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
