We're looking for a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Chef to take charge of a small pub kitchen in Hook, Hampshire.
This is more than just a chef's job.
We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership of the kitchen, develop the menu and put their own stamp on the food offering.
We have a starting idea for the menu, but we want the right chef to test it, improve it and bring their own ideas to the table.
THE FOOD
Lunchtime - ideally 6 days a week
- Homemade soup of the day with fresh bread
- Jacket potatoes with a range of fillings
- Freshly made sandwiches
- Baguettes & paninis
- Coffees and other drinks
Evenings - 5 days a week
- Curry Night
- Pie Night
- Mexican Night
- Burger Night
- Sunday Roast
Plus seasonal specials and your own dishes as the menu develops.
The idea is simple: good, honest, homemade pub food that is tasty, consistent, affordable and keeps people coming back.
We're not looking for complicated fine dining. We want someone who understands what works in a local pub and can deliver it consistently.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Qualified or highly experienced Chef
- Confident running a kitchen independently
- Organised and reliable
- Good understanding of ordering, stock control and food hygiene
- Passionate about good food
- Someone with ideas and creativity
- Someone who wants genuine input into the menu
- Someone who wants to make the kitchen their own
WHAT WE OFFER
- £30,000 - £35,000 per year
- PLUS LIVE-IN ACCOMMODATION
