We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join a well-established and highly knowledgeable team based in Sheffield. You’ll be part of a collaborative Commercial division spanning Doncaster and Sheffield, handling a wide range of policy types and technical accounts. This is a varied role where no two clients are the same, giving you exposure across multiple sectors rather than being limited to one niche.
The Role
Working closely with Account Executives, you’ll manage client portfolios, handle renewals, negotiate with insurers, and ensure every client receives tailored, high-quality advice and service.
Key responsibilities as an Insurance Account Handler include:
- Managing renewals, new business, endorsements, and policy amendments
- Building strong client relationships and responding to queries promptly
- Negotiating competitive terms with insurers
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring FCA compliance
- Supporting team collaboration and sharing best practice
About You as an Insurance Account Handler
- Experience in commercial insurance account handling
- Strong knowledge of commercial products and the wider market
- Confident using insurance systems (Acturis experience desirable)
- Good understanding of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty
- Organised, detail-focused, and proactive
ACII qualification, or working towards it, would be advantageous.
