Summary We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 3 to work with SEND children in Year 1. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment. Experience in paediatric first aid is highly desirable.
Day-to-day Of The Role
Provide tailored support to SEND children in Year 1, focusing on both academic and personal development.
Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that cater to the specific needs of SEND students.
Work closely with the classroom teacher to implement effective strategies that promote learning and inclusion.
Monitor and support the child\’s progress and adapt approaches as needed.
Assist with personal care tasks as required, ensuring dignity and respect for the child.
Facilitate communication between the child, school staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to the child\’s education and well-being.
Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for the children.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with Level 3 qualification.
Experience working with SEND children, particularly in a KS1 setting
Knowledge of the educational, social, and personal needs of young children with disabilities.
Paediatric first aid certification is preferable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to inclusive education and the principles of equality and diversity.
