Summary The Headteachers and Governing Board of St James\’ Lanehead C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team.

Hours of work are 8.45 am until 3.45 pm Monday‑Friday with a half‑hour lunch break. Half an hour is spent each day at lunchtime running activities for children on the yard.

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ level 3 or above qualification (or equivalent), relevant to the post

Desirable Qualifications

  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy

Essential Experience

  • Experience of working with children
  • Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of administrative work

Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour is desirable.
