Summary

The Governors at Caton St. Paul’s CE Primary School are looking for an excellent, dedicated and motivated teaching assistant to join our school to support a Year 1 child on a 1:1 basis. This child has been diagnosed with autism and issued with an EHCP, which is why we are looking for 1:1 support for 5 mornings a week. He is a lovely boy with a great sense of humour who will require support to access the curriculum, as well as to develop his communication skills. There will be input from a specialist teacher and speech and language professionals and, with your help, we envisage this child continuing to make good progress at CSP. This role offers training and support and provides an opportunity to develop a strong relationship with this child, ensuring they are able to continue to flourish at CSP. This role also offers the possibility of some casual welfare hours.

Caton St Paul’s is a medium-sized school with 170 on roll, situated in the Lune Valley. Our team of dedicated staff ensure that our children receive an inspirational education based around our mission statement: One family, belonging, believing and learning together. We Are Looking For

  • An individual with a passion for providing the best possible experiences for our children, aiming high at all times
  • Someone who will care for our children and their well-being
  • A positive role model who will lead by example and form positive relationships within a team and to bring out the best in others

We can offer

  • Training as required to ensure full knowledge of speech and language needs.
  • A vibrant, positive atmosphere throughout school.
  • A caring, respectful child who is always ready to engage with learning.
