Summary

Woodfield is a maintained Nursery School catering for children aged 2‑4 years in two classrooms. We have a highly skilled team of qualified teachers and teaching assistants passionate about early education and our community. Our vision is to support every child to shine and become compassionate, confident and resilient learners, encouraging them to be proud of their achievements through observation and interaction. Positive relationships with children and families are a core strength, ensuring children feel safe and happy.

The advertised post for a Teaching Assistant is a key appointment to continue our success and to support a child with unique needs. The successful applicant will be based in our Pre‑School class and join our wonderful Woodfield family to support this individual child to shine. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed by arrangement – please contact Sue in the School Office to make an appointment.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above (Grade C or above)
  • Recognised Early Years level 2 qualification or above

Application Process

Applications must be made using the LA Application Form only. CVs are not accepted. The position is full‑time temporary until July 31st in the first instance. The posts are subject to an enhanced disclosure application to the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) and an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates. The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
