We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to lead inclusive practice across the school. The successful candidate will support pupils with additional needs, collaborate closely with staff, parents and external agencies, and champion inclusion and achievement for all learners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development of inclusive practice across the school.
  • Identify, assess and monitor pupils with SEND and coordinate high‑quality provision to enable strong progress.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents and external agencies to deliver person‑centred support.
  • Champion the SEND Code of Practice and promote inclusive learning for every child.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Recent experience of working in primary schools.
  • NPQ for SENCO or NASENCO qualification.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Further qualifications or studies relevant to the age range.
  • First aid certificate.
