The governors of Kennington Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated, creative and hard-working KS2 teacher who would relish the chance of helping our school achieve its full potential covering a maternity leave in a Year 4 Class in a part time capacity (2 days per week).
We are an average sized primary school in the heart of Fulwood with a rich diversity of happy and hard working pupils. The school is led by a forward thinking Senior Leadership Team and supported by a creative, caring and conscientious team of teachers and support assistants who have the academic and pastoral needs of every child at the heart of everything they do.
The Head and Deputy Head are looking for a new member to join their team who is ready for the challenges that working in a modern day primary school will bring.

As part of the interview process, you will be expected to teach a KS2 class whilst being observed. The post will initially be from 27th April for 12 months or until the return of the post holder and be on Main Scale 1-6. Visits to the school are welcome. Please call the School Business Manager to arrange an appointment.
Essential Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher status or equivalent
- Degree/PGCE or equivalent qualifications
- Evidence of recent, relevant training.
Desirable Qualifications
- Paediatric First Aid
Essential Experience
- Evidence of providing excellent provision for all pupils achieving high standards of pupil progress
- Proven ability in formatively assessing pupils
Desirable Experience
- An excellent understanding of and experience in using assessment and data management
- Experience in leading one or more curriculum areas, including identifying needs, planning, monitoring and evaluations of standards
- Experience of working with SEND
- De-escalation strategies.
