The governors of Lowerhouse Junior School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Cleaner to work closely with the Site Supervisor. The role involves working as part of a team to clean the school to a very high standard. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain school premises to a high standard, working with the Site Supervisor and the team.
  • Perform cleaning duties during term time, 2 hours per day (ideally 6.30am‑8.30am or 4pm‑6pm); additional hours may be required during holidays.
  • Use powered cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers) where necessary.

  • Previous experience of cleaning
  • Experience of using powered equipment (e.g., floor buffer)
