Lancashire County Council is pleased to announce an Apprenticeship opportunity for its Highways and Operations, based at Burnley Depot/Cuerden Depot. This apprenticeship offers a full 4 year opportunity commencing in September 2015.
Salary and contract
- Salary £7.68 per hour; following a successful 6 month probation period, salary increases to £9.22 per hour.
- Fixed Term, Full Time, 37 hours per week, until 31/07/2029.
- Highways & Operations Team; Apprenticeship Opportunity.
- International Sponsorship: this role is not open to international sponsorship.
Responsibilities
As an Apprentice Electrician, you can expect to be involved in installing electrical wiring systems in a variety of areas but predominately in street lighting systems. You will also be working outside, at heights and in trenches as required.
Qualifications
- Applicants should have a good school or college or work record in terms of time keeping, conduct and punctuality and a positive attitude towards training. Candidates should also have an interest in working in the electrical industry.
- Apprentices will work towards the Level 3 Installation Electrician apprenticeship standard with Burnley College.
