The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Trainee Buyer to join our Supply Chain team. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to build a career in procurement within a technical manufacturing environment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in sourcing, supplier management, and cost control—supported by structured training and development.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting sourcing and supplier selection
  • Raising and managing purchase orders
  • Communicating with suppliers on pricing and delivery
  • Assisting with negotiations and cost‑saving initiatives
  • Monitoring stock levels and supporting inventory control
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records and reports
  • Researching new suppliers and market trends
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • IT skills (MS Office); procurement system experience is a plus

Full training provided, including support toward becoming a qualified Buyer.

Working Hours:

Monday–Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 14:00
