Utilities Process Engineer

Utilities Process Engineer (Client side) – Staff – London\\nLocation: London\\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing client organisation operating in the novel energy / clean tech sector during a period of continued growth as they support the Renewable Energy sector.\\nRole & Responsibilities\\n * Undertake process engineering activities as required for studies, projects and consultancy.\\n * Collaborate as part of the process engineering team.\\n * Undertake work on client sites providing technical advice and operational support services.\\n * Develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects.\\n * Checking the quality of engineering contractor design work to ensure compliance with agreed client design specifications.\\n * Undertake and checking of process calculations.\\n * Preparation and checking of process deliverables – PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, process descriptions, philosophies and narratives.\\n * Supporting the vendor management and selection process during the conceptual stage.\\n * Perform safety related calculations and provide input to safety reviews – What If, Hazop SIL Assessment, etc.\\n * Utilise process simulation software as required for the development of process deliverables.\\n * Attend in-house and site-based meetings / reviews with clients.\\n * Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and consultancy.\\nKey Skills & Knowledge\\n * Must be Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering.\\n * Chartered status highly advantageous though not essential.\\n * Experience in Oil & Gas projects during either conceptual engineering, FEED or detailed design.\\n * Experience in other major energy such as Energy from Waste or similar will also be highly advantageous.\\n * Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.\\n * Planning and organising, communication, team working and problem solving.\\n * Good level of numeracy, literacy and IT knowledge.\\nBenefits\\nIn return the successful candidate can expect a market leading salary and benefits package coupled with excellent career progression opportunities as the company continues to grow
