Senior Subsea Controls Engineer – Contract – Hybrid / London Location: Hybrid / London This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sectors, though this particular project will be focussing on an offshore Oil & Gas project. The role will require 2 days p/w in the clients London office. The role is deemed to be outside IR35. Role & Responsibilities * Design of subsea controls equipment and umbilicals and architecture for concept and FEED studies. * Performing subsea control system studies for system expansion, life extension, fault finding and fault rectification. * Delivery of Subsea Controls Systems in accordance with project requirements, Client Design and Engineering Practices, Industry Standards & Guidelines (International, National and Company) and UK Regulations. * Contribution to the selection and options process for the initial field layout and architecture. * Package management for the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of new systems and equipment. * Operations support and system integrity management. * Support to interface engineering, subsea system engineering & management. Key Skills & Knowledge * Experience in the delivery, installation, and commissioning of subsea control systems. Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering disciple. * Strong experience in subsea controls design. * Good knowledge of subsea controls equipment, umbilicals, interfaces and key codes and standards. * Good knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems. * Proven background working on projects in the Oil & Gas industry (preferably studies and FEED), including option reviews etc. * Chartered status is an advantage but not essential. Additional Info Initially a c.6 month contract but with the potential to extend, the role is outside IR35. The role is hybrid and will be based in London 2 days p/w and remote 2 days p/w
