Senior Piping Stress Engineer – Contract – Wales Location: West Wales This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the hydrocarbon and clean energy sectors. This role is deemed to be outside IR35. Role & Responsibilities * Pipe stress analysis using CAESAR - identification of pipes requiring review and/or analysis. * Formal stress analysis in accordance which may include analysis for pressure, thermal and vibration related issues. * Review of pressure, weight and thermal analysis of piping systems, vibration analysis and piping support systems. * Selection of standard pipe supports for a project according to client requirements. * Selection of specific pipe supports and communication of support to pipe designers for incorporation on piping design. * Conducting piping reviews of all project isometrics, supports, and specialty items * Participate in relevant meetings, such as HAZID, Design Reviews, Model Reviews * Involved in projects at different stages including concept, pre-FEED, FEED and EPC / PMC. * Liaising with Clients and managing their needs and expectations. * Ensure all deliverables are aligned with company and client procedures and applicable standards; ensure documents are originated, checked and approved by suitably competent personnel. Key Skills & Knowledge * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. * Chartered status preferred but not essential. * Must have proven experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Renewable Energy sectors or similar. * Experience of reviewing and approving Piping/Mechanical deliverables such isometrics, GA’s, stress analysis. * Experience of working with industry software such as CAESAR, AutoCAD, Plant3D,.
