The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The successful person must have experience in BMS and alarm system solutions - essential. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major energy sector client organisation, supporting the successful operation of a large energy facility. The role will be supporting the development and re-organisation of key control units and philosophies and will require a strong understanding of Emerson systems. This is a long term contract and can be performed remotely but will require occasional trips to site. This is initially a 12 month contract that is deemed outside IR35.

Responsibilities

  • Developing process control solutions for the BMS and alarm system rationalisation.
  • Addressing and amending alarm design philosophy, creating tags, amending documents, creating proposals and discussing with the operations team to define the philosophy before implementing the changes or handing over to another team.
  • Understanding of control systems philosophy as well as programming.
  • Supporting the conversion of SEVs to Emerson systems.
  • Supporting the DCS and Instrumentation assets during detailed design, construction, commissioning and then the operations of the plant.
  • Future work may involve a range of system rationalisation and upgrade projects.
  • Assisting the Plant and the Operations Managers with optimising the process during operational trials.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Relevant qualification (ideally Degree and Chartered but HND or HNC with experience will be considered).
  • Strong Process Controls experience using Emerson systems is required.
  • Previous experience supporting the design, construction and commissioning of major energy plants.
  • CCNSG Safety Passport essential - SSTS/SMSTS cards would be an advantage.

This role is outside IR35. Initially a c.12 month scope of work but has potential to become very long term.
