Principal Process Engineer (Terminal Feasibility Studies) – Contract – Remote / Hybrid Location: Remote / Hybrid This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy sectors. The successful engineer must have experience of early concept / feasibility studies for terminal projects. This role is deemed outside IR35. Role & Responsibilities * Responsible for developing early concept / feasibility studies for terminal projects. * Develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects. * Development and checking of process calculations. * Preparation and checking of process deliverables – PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, process descriptions, philosophies and narratives. * Supporting safety related calculations reviews – What If, Hazop SIL Assessment, etc. * Utilise process simulation software as required for the development of process deliverables. * Attend in-house and site-based meetings / reviews with clients. * Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and consultancy. Key Skills & Knowledge * Degree in Chemical Engineering essential, chartered status desired but not essential. * Must have early feasibility studies for terminal project experience. * Previously worked on design projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy industries. * Experience in relevant design standards and protocols. * Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
