Client Area Process Engineer (Gasification) – Staff – London
Location: London This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Renewable and Clean Energy sector.
The role is working for a Client organization and offers excellent career progression opportunities in a fast paced environment.
Experience of gasification essential.
Role & Responsibilities Responsible for reviewing Engineering Contractors and Licensors Process Discipline design deliverables within specific area of gasification.
Lead project deliverables for area of project assigned.
Develop process calculations for supporting inhouse studies/estimates and analysis for process design.
Develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects.
Checking the quality of subcontractor design work to ensure compliance with agreed client design specifications.
Supporting the vendor management and selection process during the conceptual stage.
Perform safety related calculations and provide input to safety reviews – What If, Hazop SIL Assessment, etc.
Provide technical resolutions, clarifications and decisions on Technical Queries from Engineering Contractor(s) and Licensors/Subcontractors Responsible for Management of Change related to assigned work packages Collaborate as part of the process engineering team.
Undertake and checking of process calculations.
Key Skills & Knowledge Must be Degree qualified – Chartered status highly advantageous though not essential.
Experience in Oil & Gas and / Clean Energy projects during either conceptual engineering, FEED or detailed design.
Experience of gasification essential.
Experience in other major energy such as Energy from Waste or similar will also be highly advantageous.
Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
Planning and organising, communication, team working and problem solving.
Good level of numeracy, literacy and IT knowledge.
