Working Week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9am - 17.00pm (1 hour lunch break), Wednesday and Friday 9am - 14.00, Friday 8.30am – 3.30 (30 minutes lunch break).

Location: Big Creative Academy, 38 Clifton Road, London, E17 6HL
Main duties:
- To work under the guidance/instruction of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator to undertake work/care/support programmes, enabling access to learning for students and helping them become independent learners.
- Provide support for their studies and support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of Academy life.
- Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to ensure their understanding of the curriculum.
- Keep track of all students with EHCPs' attendance and progress and maintain appropriate records.
- Collate and prepare students' information for assessments and inspections.

- Work under the direction of the SENCo to deliver tailored support and care programmes, ensuring students can fully engage in learning.
- Encourage independence and inclusion, supporting students across all aspects of Academy life.
- Provide targeted support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to help students build confidence and understanding of the curriculum.
- Monitor attendance, progress, and outcomes for students with EHCPs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Prepare and collate information to support assessments, reviews, and inspections.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification. Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews, providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship programme. Depending on the apprentice’s needs, the frequency of these sessions may vary.
