Apprenticeship Overview:
- Salary: £8.00 an hour, automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19-year-olds
- Working Week: Hybrid working (2 days in the office), Monday to Friday, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm (1-hour lunch break)

What you'll do at work:
As a Marketing Apprentice within the Medical/Surgical business, you will be responsible for supporting the UK marketing team to deliver their marketing objectives. You will be responsible for some core AWC Brands to ensure delivery of sales targets as well as providing marketing support for the business. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the marketing team can effectively deliver on their tactical plans to meet company objectives. It requires a strong team player who has excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Management of core AWD portfolios
- Manage key core portfolios to ensure delivery of objectives and sales targets working closely with Business Partners to identify strategy and focus
- Keep portfolio records and assist with product updates, minor line extensions, and packaging or labelling changes with regulatory and supply teams
- Assist in gathering market feedback, sales input, and competitor intelligence to inform portfolio decisions
- Support with marketing campaign delivery through collation, mailings, and trial support to ensure effective campaign management
- Support the sales team with marketing tools, presentations, product literature, and digital assets
- Coordinate approvals and updates for sales materials via internal systems
- Manage UK Hub for the marketing team
- Liaise with marketers to ensure content is live and updated as and when required
- Assist with updates to the UK Solventum website as when required
- Support basic reporting on campaign performance and portfolio activity
- Develop a plan to incorporate AI technology into marketing processes
Desired Skills, Qualities, and Qualifications:
- Education: A Levels or BTEC Level 3 National Diploma/Extended Diploma or Equivalent vocational qualification
- Experience: Some experience gained through work placement, internship, temporary role, or part-time employment in a marketing, commercial, administrative, or customer-facing environment
- Skills Required: Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication skills, confidence using standard digital tools (e.g. Microsoft Office), proactive collaborative approach, interest in data analysis, comfort working with Excel or similar tools, a full UK driving licence is essential as occasional travel may be required
Training and Development:
As an apprentice, you will receive support through both on-the-job learning and formal training as part of your apprenticeship programme. This will typically include study towards a relevant qualification, Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3, on-the-job training and mentoring from experienced professionals, and regular review meetings to track progress and development.
