Apprenticeship Summary
- Salary: £7.55 an hour
- Working Week: Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm including a 30 minute break
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Administrator Apprentice to join our team at LAND Instruments International Limited. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global company while learning about our innovative products and services. You will support departmental efficiency, deliver high levels of customer service, and act as the voice of the customer across the organisation.
Main Duties
- Act as the primary point of contact for all LAND subsidiary customers during the order placement stage.
- Manage the end-to-end customer order process, ensuring order confirmations are completed within agreed timescales and KPIs.
- Initiate and coordinate actions in response to order changes, maintain accurate order and customer records, and communicate updates to relevant departments.
- Oversee the contract review process to ensure compliance with LAND’s Terms & Conditions and Delegation of Authority (DLA) procedures.
- Accurately interpret and input data into internal systems, including ERP and CRM platforms.
- Ensure the effective fulfilment of order requirements across all relevant departments.
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the entire order lifecycle—from placement to delivery and payment.
- Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer service standards and drive profitability.
- Collaborate as an active member of the customer service team to improve accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness.
- Provide high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the customer complaint process, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) records in accordance with governing rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in a Customer Service environment.
- Good problem solving skills
- Good communication, influencing and assertiveness skills
- Accounting competency for investigation and processing credits
- An understanding of sales and operations.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship building.
- Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel. SAP knowledge desirable.

- Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and ability to multitask under demanding deadlines.
- Positive, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguity are a must.
- Able to demonstrate good judgement in analysing information to make routine decisions.
- Able to co-operate and collaborate with colleagues, cross functionally, to support the sales process.
- Open to receiving feedback and applying/integrating the feedback in an effort to improve results.
- Strong in building relationships and able to communicate at all levels
- A good team player but also able to work on own initiative
Training And Development
As an apprentice, you will receive support through both on-the-job learning and formal training as part of your apprenticeship programme. This will typically include:
- Study towards a relevant qualification, Level 3 Business Administrator Diploma.
- On-the-job training and mentoring from experienced professionals.
- Regular review meetings to track progress and development.
