About the job
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented recruiter to join our team. You will play a crucial role engaging with Independent Training providers (ITP) and oversee the recruitment of apprentices from these ITPs. In addition, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening and recruiting top talent to fill our apprenticeship vacancies. You will collaborate with the Inspire ATA Sales team and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, develop sourcing strategies and execute recruitment plans to meet hiring goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of recruitment processes and a passion for connecting talented individuals with exciting apprenticeship opportunities. You will also manage our Independent Training Providers (ITP) to source candidates and form strong relationships to ensure Inspire ATA receives quality candidate referrals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen and interview candidates to assess their qualifications, skills and fit for open positions.
- Utilise various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, networking events and employee referrals, to attract top talent.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline of suitable candidates for current and future hiring needs.
- Coordinate and schedule candidates and client interviews to facilitate the hiring process from start to finish.
- Provide a positive candidate experience by delivering timely communication and feedback throughout the recruitment process.
- Partner with Independent Training Providers with recruitment services to support hiring initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices and changes in recruitment technology to continuously improve recruitment processes.
- Track recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to management on hiring progress, candidate pipelines and other key performance indicators.
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives and participate in recruitment events to promote our organisation as an employer of choice.
- Provide candidates with thorough Information, Advice, and guidance (IAG) and manage the candidates' expectations of the job and hiring journey.
- Meet company targets for recruiting apprentices.
- Post job adverts on the National Apprenticeship Service portal and other job boards and manage the adverts ensuring applicants are contacted within a reasonable timeframe.
- Close adverts and inform unsuccessful applicants.
About you
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers.
- Proficiency in using recruitment software, applicant tracking systems and strong IT skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- High level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- An understanding of the FE and training sector, and in particular the Flexi-Job Apprenticeship Agency model of employing apprentices on behalf of host organisations.
- Proven experience as a recruiter or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Positive attitude, flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent spelling and grammar.
