This role is designed to establish clear, single ownership of the ERP platform under a dedicated specialist, ensuring accountability, consistency and long-term stability.

As the ERP Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining NetSuite as a robust, well-governed core system, underpinned by disciplined change management and strong controls. A key part of the role will be to ensure the platform continually reflects how the business operates in practice, working closely with stakeholders to translate operational needs into effective system solutions and to resolve inefficiencies driven by system design or usage.

You will lead ERP-related projects and enhancements, including the introduction of new modules, integrations and system upgrades, while ensuring the organisation makes full and effective use of available functionality as the platform evolves. A critical focus will be the review and optimisation of the current system landscape, including rationalising customisations and reducing complexity where it impacts performance or maintainability. Alongside this, you will establish and embed best practices and standardised approaches to support a more efficient and scalable environment.

This role is the direct link between Finance, Operations and IT, and so you will play a key role in aligning priorities, coordinating change, and ensuring the ERP platform supports the wider global business, including maintaining a high standard of third-party integration.

We are seeking an experienced ERP Manager (NetSuite) to take ownership of the day-to-day operation, governance, and continuous improvement of a NetSuite ERP platform. This role will act as the internal system owner, ensuring the platform is well-managed, aligned with business needs, and used effectively across the organisation. The ERP Manager will also lead ERP-related initiatives, including system enhancements, integrations, and new module implementations.

A key focus of the role will be to review and optimise the current NetSuite environment, identify practical improvements, and implement best practices that support scalable and efficient business processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and coordinate the day-to-day management of the NetSuite platform
  • Ensure appropriate system governance, including change control and documentation standards
  • Maintain system configuration, including workflows, roles, permissions, and customisations
  • Promote best practices and consistent system usage across the organisation
  • Maintain clear and structured system documentation (in collaboration with process owners)
  • Ensure alignment between system design and business process requirements

Note: Business process documentation remains the responsibility of relevant departments, with the ERP Manager supporting system-related documentation and structure.

NetSuite Administration:
  • Administer core NetSuite configuration, including workflows (SuiteFlow), saved searches and reporting, dashboards and KPIs, custom fields, forms, and records
  • Support user access and role setup in coordination with HR and management
  • Manage system updates, release cycles, and testing of new functionality
  • Maintain sandbox environments for testing and controlled deployments
  • Perform issue investigation and coordinate with support partners where required
  • Independently handle day-to-day system administration tasks
ERP Audit & Optimisation:
  • Review key areas of the current NetSuite setup to identify improvement opportunities
  • Identify inefficient workflows, unnecessary customisations, and inconsistent configurations
  • Recommend pragmatic improvements balancing standardisation with business needs
  • Support development of a prioritised roadmap for system improvements
  • Improve system structure, usability, and maintainability
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls and segregation of duties
ERP Development & Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through system enhancements
  • Maintain and prioritise a backlog of NetSuite improvements
  • Coordinate development of customisations, scripts, and integrations where required
  • Evaluate whether requirements should be addressed through configuration, process change, or development
  • Ensure all changes align with business priorities and system sustainability
ERP Project Management:
  • Act as project manager for ERP-related initiatives
  • Lead implementation of new features, modules, and integrations
  • Define scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Oversee testing processes, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Integrations & System Landscape:
  • Oversee APIs and integrations between NetSuite and other business systems (e.g., CRM, payroll, banking, BI tools)
  • Ensure stable and reliable data flows
  • Support a scalable and maintainable system architecture
Business Process Support:
  • Act as a key link between business users and technical teams
  • Translate business requirements into practical system solutions
  • Support Finance and Operations in improving system-driven processes
  • Ensure NetSuite effectively supports core processes such as financial accounting and reporting, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory and project-related processes
Training & User Enablement:
  • Provide training and guidance to improve user understanding
  • Support users in improving system usage and efficiency
  • Maintain clear, accessible system guidance and knowledge resources
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5+ years of experience working with ERP systems
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience
  • Experience administering and configuring NetSuite in a live environment
  • Experience with NetSuite implementation
  • Experience managing ERP improvements or projects
Preferred (Nice to Have):
  • Experience in multi-subsidiary or international environments
  • Exposure to scripting (e.g., SuiteScript)
  • Experience with integrations and related tools
  • Experience with reporting, BI tools, or data warehouse integrations

Note: Deep development expertise is not required; access to technical resources will be available where needed.

This role will see this person become the "global-glue" for my client's business for years to come, so we are placing great emphasis on the need for previous experience and development with NetSuite in particular, ideally from a project background. "Oracle" experience (and other such similar platforms) are NOT what we are looking for here.
