Who we are
LMI Live is a dynamic London-based live music agency on the hunt for a fantastic Bookings Manager to join our team from mid Feb 2025. We create and supply some of the world’s top cover bands to the private and corporate events market; check out our roster before applying – you’ll need to love these acts! Our clients expect the highest possible level of service and expertise, so our office team needs to match our bands as the absolute best in the business.
The role
Your job will be fast-paced and varied. You will manage each booking from the point of sign-off to the show, fixing musicians and crew, acting as our clients’ and musicians’ primary point of contact, pulling together schedules, and supporting the Managing Director with a wide and varied range of tasks. A musical and/or events background is very helpful but not essential – more important are rock-solid admin skills. You’ll have 5 spreadsheets open at once with a regularly ringing phone, and you’ll need to keep a cool head throughout.
We’re looking for someone obsessively organised with excellent EQ and people skills, who can handle a pressurised To Do list at high speed without dropping the ball. You’ll need the confidence to thrive in this vibrant industry balanced with the motivation and focus to work hard and consistently from home. The ability to communicate with people from many walks of life articulately, persuasively and accurately is essential, and perfect spoken & written English is a must. You’ll need to be fluent in MS Word, Excel, Gmail and online research, with a good typing speed.
You’ll likely have the opportunity to help with other sides of the business from time to time. If you have sales and marketing skills, a creative or design side, or strong musical knowledge, we’ll aim to put these skills to good use. If we feel you have the confidence and calm to effectively run shows on-site, we’ll train you in live show management (paid on top). We’ll encourage you to cultivate and develop your own ideas in a fun, friendly and supportive environment, backed by our team of experts from many walks of the music, events and performance world. Your hard work will be rewarded with trust, responsibility and respect; we’re a lovely bunch of people with a fantastic team ethic, and expect the same from you.
Salary & key details
Starting salary will be £24-29,000 per annum subject to experience, with the potential opportunity to take on additional paid show management work. Starting date will be as close to mid February as possible, though we understand some will need to give notice to existing employers. The role is 4 days per week. You’ll initially be covering a 10-month maternity leave, with the strong possibility of a new full-time role being created to follow, subject to performance and the company’s needs approaching that time. On this basis, we’re looking for candidates hoping to remain with us over the medium-to-long term.
Please email with your CV and a cover letter tailored to this position (essential) summarising why you’d like to join us and what you can bring to the table. Please make it snappy and memorable! We’ll respond to applicants being offered a phone interview, after which we’ll invite those shortlisted to an interview at our office. Early applications will be prioritised.
