Role: Transport Operations Planner
Location: Outskirts of Ipswich, Suffolk
Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
About the Role
We're looking for a proactive Transport Operations Planner to coordinate day-to-day transport using 3rd party hauliers. You’ll plan multi-drops, straight loads and back loads (non-container) to keep collections and deliveries running safely and on time.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Plan and book daily loads with 3rd party carriers.
- Build efficient multi-drop routes and back loads.
- Track ETAs, manage delays and keep customers updated.
- Keep paperwork and system updates accurate (TMS/PODs).
- Liaise with customers, depots and internal teams
About You:
- Transport/logistics planning experience.
- Strong organisation, calm under pressure, great communication.
- Confident with transport systems/TMS.
- Proactive problem-solver.
