About the Role
As an Import Operations Coordinator, you'll manage the end-to-end coordination of import shipments (FCL, LCL and/or airfreight), ensuring smooth, compliant, and on-time movement for key clients.
You'll keep data accurate across bespoke systems and internal platforms, using strong Excel skills to support reporting and operational visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and manage import bookings for FCL, LCL, and/or airfreight consignments with a range of carriers.
- Coordinate with customers, shippers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth movement of goods from origin to destination.
- Enter shipment data promptly and accurately into bespoke client systems and internal platforms.
- Maintain close communication with clients, carriers, hauliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain high service standards.
- Utilise Microsoft Excel for data processing, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Proactively identify and address potential delays, documentation issues, or operational risks.
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience in import operations (FCL, LCL and/or airfreight) within shipping or logistics is essential.
