Linthwaite Group of Companies, based in Herefordshire, is a well-established manufacturing and distribution business serving the plumbing and building industry across the UK. Our commitment to quality and innovation drives our operations as we strive to meet the needs of our customers. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our LMC Plastics team. To maintain and repair the plant and equipment through a combination of planned and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting routine inspections of equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and correcting them
  • Ensure quick reaction to any breakdowns that occur
  • Maintain key spares for equipment and spare items of equipment
  • Maintain good level of housekeeping in maintenance room
  • Ensure all process equipment is maintained in a safe state

Additional Tasks / Areas for development of role

  • Carry out mechanical & electrical installations
  • General repair and upkeep of the building infrastructure
  • Control of contractors on site
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Schedule PPM and repairs for equipment
  • Produce costed item list for any planned work

Skills/Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of process equipment
  • Understanding of plastic or PVC processes is advantageous
  • Previous working within an engineering environment

Personal Characteristics

  • Good teamworking skills
  • Capable of working within a team or on their own
  • Meticulous attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Formal maintenance/engineering qualification desirable
  • Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent)

Working Hours

Monday to Friday - 2 shift pattern 06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
